I love this book. I didn't know that Whoopi Goldberg was such an awesome author. I have told everyone to purchase her children's book on character building. Thanks Whoopi. It is my intention to buy every book she has written as soon as possible. I will have book circles with parents who have out of control kids

Here is another famous name on my children's books by celebrity list. Whoopi Goldberg signed with Hyperion's Jump at the Sun imprint. Plum Fantastic is a series of books about 6 girls with different backgrounds attending a ballet school in Harlem. Whoopi Goldberg Ballerina books books are described as sweet, moving, and genuinely funny.

Plum Fantastic Ballerinas is the first book in Plum Fantastic series.

Plum Fantastic revolves around a New York City ballet school. Our heroine is doing ballet because her mother wanted to be a ballerina (a situation many children can relate to) but in the end is drawn to ballet because of the wonderfully diverse group of girls at the ballet school who befriend this "new kid on the block". This book is warm, often humorous,and always believeable.

Second book ordered from the Sugar Plum Ballerinas collection. Ordered for my 7year old Goddaughter - she enjoyed the first one. Will continue to order from the series books for her ESP as she is a young African-British girl and I think it is important for her to have story books that are based on characters that reflect her identity.
